Landlords can continue listing properties on RentMate at no cost until 1 October 2026. No card required, no automatic charges. Everything is included during the free period - structured tenant applications, AI Lease Generator, TMD Compliance Checker, video tours, and scam protection on every listing. Properties listed before 1 October stay live and visible after that date.

More than 7,000 Notices of Termination were issued in the first quarter of 2026 - the highest figure on record - with around 60% linked to landlords intending to sell. The Irish Property Owners Association warns the private rental sector is at a breaking point, with small landlords leaving faster than they can be replaced. In Dublin, the share of tenancies held by landlords with one to three properties fell from 40% in 2024 to 36.5% in 2026, while large landlords grew from 60% to 63.5%. Fewer independent landlords means fewer choices for tenants.

Housing delivery in Dublin remained strong in Q1 2026, with 3,060 completions and 2,921 new commencements - up 182% year-on-year. Despite this, Dublin's unemployment rose to a 4-year high of 5.4%, inflation hit 3.7%, and affordable housing remains Dublin's number one priority according to 88% of residents surveyed in the Smart City Index.

Average residential rent in Dublin reached €2,165 per month in Q4 2025, near the all-time peak of €2,173 set in Q3. Rents outside Dublin grew faster - up 4.9% in the Greater Dublin Area and 4.8% outside it. The report notes that changes to Ireland's rental framework introduced in March 2026 may place further upward pressure on the market.
